Intentionally understated from the
street, the house gradually reveals
itself through a sequence of spaces,
from the interior courtyard and entry
hall to the double-height living area,
where views extend across Georgica Pond
The clients envisioned a modern
house in the Hamptons. As part
of the design process, we studied
a range of precedents, with particular
attention given to the residence that
architect Gordon Bunshaft's built
on Georgica Pond in 1962
